Paul R. MacGregor, BS, MS, Ph.D.
President & CEO, Green Harbor Energy
Paul has over 25 years of experience in leading new market and technology developments as well as managing corporate operations in the areas of clean energy markets, energy trading and risk management, and electric power systems. He has been instrumental in the development of Energy Efficiency Credit (EEC) markets in the United States.
Dr MacGregor currently serves as President & CEO for Green Harbor Energy, a subsidiary of Geosyntec Consultants. Prior to joining Green Harbor Energy, he founded the Clean Energy Markets Division of Nexant and served as their Senior Vice President, where he led the Division to become the largest private marketer of renewable energy. Dr MacGregor also led numerous developments and managed operations for several premier firms including General Electric (GE), Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and Siemens PTI.
The author of over 40 technical papers in four languages in the areas of mathematical modeling and optimization of energy systems, he also holds two US patents on the application of neural network algorithms to the calculation of building energy utilization.
Dr MacGregor graduated with Bachelor’s, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in electrical engineering as well as a Master of Science in Technology and Science Policy – all from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
