Mike Kramer
Mike studied Mining and Petroleum Engineering at Delft University, The Netherlands. Since 1989 he has worked across the globe for Shell’s upstream oil and gas division in various technical, commercial, and managerial roles.
 
Mr. Kramer has been responsible for drilling high pressure, high temperature wells in the North Sea; revitalizing neglected fields in Venezuela; developing contract strategies in Oman; and maturing a $10 billion redevelopment plan for the Danish gas infrastructure.
 
He is passionate about the energy industry and has embraced the expat lifestyle. Based on his own career, Mr. Kramer will provide an overview of what is expected from an expat engineer and will relate that to recruitment criteria used in the industry.
