Butch Byers
 
Butch went to high school in Southern California and to university in Northern California, graduating with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a graduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.  He started work for Bechtel Corporation the day after graduation, and has been very fortunate to work for 32 years in the environmental industry, for a variety of employers including engineering consultants, Stanford University, and Chevron.
 
Mr. Byers’ engineering background enabled him to engineer and manage projects across a wide spectrum of environmental applications, including air quality, greenhouse gas management, water treatment and recycling, solid and toxic waste management, seaport and airport construction, and energy efficiency. Mr. Byers is currently responsible for securing all of the environmental and construction permits necessary to build the largest oil and gas project currently under construction in the world.
