Where are you from?
We moved to England from Houston, Texas, but as the daughter of an Air Force pilot, I called many places home as I grew up. Some of the locations include Oklahoma, Arizona, California, Florida, Colorado, Virginia and Louisiana.

What attracted you to TASIS England?

As a parent and teacher, I was immediately drawn by the sense of community, and the supportive, nurturing environment. The excellent academic opportunities TASIS offered my four children made the choice an easy one.

What is your educational background?
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and have seven years of classroom teaching in the primary grades.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with my children.

Where are you from?

I was lucky enough to grow up on an active apple farm in central Massachusetts while spending time enjoying summers in Maine and winters skiing in New Hampshire. I have also taught and lived in Connecticut and New York before moving to England.

What attracted you to TASIS England?
In 2001, I came to TASIS England to join the second grade team. When I first spoke with people at TASIS I felt so comfortable and had that “gut” feeling that it was the right place for me professionally. Once I stepped onto the campus, exhausted after flying all night, I knew it was a place I wanted to be. As an educator, witnessing the joy of learning that was evident in the classrooms was fantastic and hearing the positive feelings amongst the teachers, parents and staff made it even more convincing that I should make the move to England.

What is your educational background?
After graduating from an independent boarding school in New Hampshire I went to university in New York where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and elementary education, then a Masters in Professional Studies in Special Education and finally a Masters in Professional Studies in Reading. As with most professions, one learns by doing which is what I did throughout the next eight years, teaching mainly in the Lower School grade levels.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy cooking, baking, working in the garden and walking along the Thames, and I try to spend every free moment with my young triplet daughters.

Where do you hail from?
Born, brought up and always worked in the suburbs of London but I have traveled widely, whilst on holiday, to the Far East, America and Europe.

What attracted you to TASIS England?
Initially the beautiful buildings and setting of the school gave such a wonderful impression. Since working at TASIS I have experienced the strong feeling of community, friendship and caring for students and amongst colleagues.

What is your background?

Educated to ‘O’ Level GCSE standard, I have worked in the service industry for 40 years. The main areas have been working for the Education Office in the Youth Service, a food manufacturer, British Airways airline, Personnel Assistant with a company linked to the Ministry of Defense, Personal Assistant at the Royal Holloway University of London and, before TASIS, with a Marketing and Recruitment Consultant.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love to dance and enjoy music. I belong to a drama group and, if not ‘performing’, assist backstage; all proceeds go to charity. I regularly go to the cinema and as much as possible the theatre. Through a family connection I also belong to the West London Branch Epilepsy Group, raising funds, attending meetings and occasionally helping with paperwork. I enjoy visiting family and friends, and entertaining.

I was born and brought up in Hampton. I moved to Egham when I married in 1964 and have lived in this area ever since, finally moving to Thorpe 20 years ago.

I live very close to TASIS and have watched the school develop over the years with great interest. I love being involved with a school that has such a caring attitude toward everyone.

What is your background?
I left a boarding school in Sussex with 5 `O’ level passes. I have worked for several different companies including Thomas Cook and Nat West Bank. I spent several happy years with British Gas and was assistant show room manager at Ealing Broadway until it closed in 1994.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I spend many hours walking my dog and gardening. I see my daughters and my three lovely grandsons as often as possible. I love to read and always have a good book to hand, either an historical novel or an autobiography. As time permits I like to see friends and travel both at home and abroad. I also enjoy going to the theatre.
