The library is open to all students every school day, from the start of school until at least 4:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. on club days). Students are welcome to exchange books any day of the week.
Every class has a specific weekly library visit for skills and checking out books and magazines. Early childhood students may have up to two books checked out at a time. First through 4th graders are allowed up to three books.
Books are due when you are through is the Lower School procedure. Students keep books as long as they are "still reading and enjoying their books". Students are requested to return books within a reasonable time after checking them out.

At the weekly Wednesday assembly a name of a lucky student is drawn from the Humphrey box. That student takes Humphrey home for the weekend. So far Humphrey has learned to squeak in Danish, has played football, visiting the science museum in London and had fun with his host families. Our Humphrey is a stuffed animal who lives in his own cage. He is treated as the real thing. His journal is read through out the week by students in the library.
