Boarding Life

Our boarders learn to make good choices in their daily lives and find their own unique passions and purpose – all while forging lifelong friendships with students from around the globe.

WINTER BREAK 2017/2018 ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE BOARDING COMMUNITY

Departure From Campus

Boarders are permitted to leave campus for the break after their last exam and must have departed campus by Friday, December 22, at 13:00 (1 p.m.). Please check with your child for their individual timetable but a general timetable is posted below to assist you with planning.

While we will be using our Boardingware leave application system to approve individual plans for your children over the Winter Break, an online form will also be available to parents on Monday, November 27, so that you can send details of flight arrangements or other travel arrangements. Please fully complete and return as soon as you have confirmed information available. Information can also be sent to the Boarding Office by e-mail to Gill Calton: gcalton@tasisengland.org.

Please understand that we require timely and accurate information about your child(ren)’s travel in order to make the necessary arrangements. This information is essential for their safety and well-being.

Shuttle buses will run to London Heathrow on a regular basis during Thursday, December 21, and on the morning of Friday, December 22. Students needing a ride to Heathrow Airport will be given the option of joining a school shuttle at stated times during duty periods. Students needing transportation at any other time will have to make their own arrangements.

Return Travel Arrangements

Boarders should return to TASIS on Monday, January 8, 2018 by 19:00 (7 p.m.)Please do not book flights that will have your son or daughter returning to school after this time. Please note that students are responsible for their own return to school at the end of their break. Taxi information may be found below. Classes resume on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

Taxi Service Information

We recommend that students pre-book a taxi and coordinate with other students if possible to share the ride and cost. Please ensure that your child has money on hand to pay for their taxi ride.
