In order to do this we need parent volunteers to help sell food and drink. There is little food preparation required and this is a great way to meet new friends and support your children and their teams. If you are willing to sign up for a shift (typically a couple of hours), please sign up online and view the dates and times we are in need of help. Girl Scouts Sign-ups – Girl Scouts is open to all girls in grades K-12, and no prior Girl Scouts experience is necessary. Registration is on Thursday, September 3, at 7 p.m. in the TASIS Lower School Dining Room. It was great to see everyone at registration and meet all of our new families. It has been a wonderful beginning to the new year. As in the past, the teachers will continue to post information on the Lower School portion of the LMS. Your child's classroom teacher will post on the class page, and we will post on the LS Parent page. It is very important that you log in and check your LMS page. If you are unsure of how to access this, please contact us and we can help out. You should also check the blog section of the LS Parent page as this is updated often with information regarding upcoming events. Don't forget to return the forms from your registration packet if you have not yet done so.
The Lower School Intramural Soccer Program – for grades FH-8 and Tennis for grades PrK-8 commences on Saturday, September 5, on Gymnasium Field 2 on the North Campus. REGISTER ONLINE The Intramural Sports Program is separate from the school's sports/activities programs. There is a small registration fee for the participants, and the program takes place on Saturdays throughout the school year. If you have any questions please contact Sharon Hudgens.

The new year is a fresh start for each of us, a chance to grow and learn and make the most of our opportunities. On behalf of all of the Upper School teachers and staff, I welcome each one of you to this new school year and would like to share with you my remarks to the Upper School students at yesterday's opening assembly. READ MORE DOWNLOADS Message from the Directors of Sports & Activities – Eddie Cross The fall season commences on Monday, August 31, with the Upper School Fall Season Try Outs. There are varsity and junior varsity girls and boys teams in soccer, volleyball, and cross country. Students are encouraged to attend the try outs of their choice. Although it is only possible to participate in one TASIS team during the season, students may wish to try out for different sports. The try outs are also open to eighth grade students, and they will take place Monday through Wednesday next week. There are also auditions for the Middle and Upper School fall productions on Monday and Tuesday next week. Upper School students who elect not to try out for a fall season team sport or audition for the fall theatre production have received an email with a link to the sport/activity sign-up process. They should follow the sign-up procedure online, selecting their choice of fall trimester sport/activity by Friday, August 29.
