News from TASIS England
The latest offering from IB drama students included a selection of Japanese Kyōgen comedy skits. Actors transformed into hilarious characters with traditional costumes and make-up, dishing out laughs with their stage shenanigans.
Kyōgen is a form of traditional Japanese comedic theatre that features a minimalistic set and eccentric Japanese characters that traditionally were brought onto stage in the intervals of Noh plays, serious and slow productions which often last for many hours.
IB Theatre Arts students have experimented with a diverse range of comedic theatre styles this year, including, Commedia dell'Arte, French farce plays, and Kyōgen.
TASIS offers Theatre Arts as an IB course offering. To find out further information about the IB program, please read our IB Diploma information Page.
